Established to invest in sustainable, renewable, and environmentally responsible energy solutions, Polat Energy plays an active role in the energy transition by focusing on Türkiye’s high-potential wind and solar resources.
Today, with a total of 10 power plants in Türkiye and Europe, more than 1,060 MWm of installed capacity, and approximately 2.3 TWh of annual electricity generation, we supply energy to hundreds of thousands of households and make a significant contribution to reducing carbon emissions.

Through our projects—primarily Soma WPP, along with Göktepe, Geycek, Poyraz, and Ege WPPs—we:

•Rank among the leading energy groups in terms of installed wind capacity,
•Prevent millions of tons of carbon emissions annually.
With an installed capacity of 328.9 MWm, Soma WPP stands out not only as the largest wind power plant in our portfolio, but also as the largest in Türkiye and the seventh largest in Europe in the renewable energy sector.
To ensure the efficient and balanced use of renewable energy sources, we position energy storage investments among our strategic priorities.
By commissioning one of Türkiye’s first grid-scale wind energy storage systems, we enhance energy supply security and ensure continuity of production through storage solutions integrated into our WPP and SPP projects.
Solar and Hybrid Energy Investments
We support our wind energy investments with solar power and hybrid plant projects. By developing integrated SPP investments at our existing WPP sites, we increase our generation capacity while advancing with a focus on resource diversification and high efficiency.
We continue our international expansion by extending our energy investments beyond Türkiye. Under Polat Energy Europe, we develop renewable energy projects—primarily in Europe—and strengthen our international energy portfolio, particularly through solar energy investments.

Business Partnership between İş Enerji and Polat Holding
Maxis Clean Energy Venture Capital Investment Fund, an investor of Polat Enerji and backed by Polat Holding and İşbank Group, previously held shares in the company. In a strategic move to strengthen the partnership between Polat Holding and İş Enerji, on August 15, 2023, the shares of Maxis Clean Energy Venture Capital Fund were transferred to İş Enerji. This strategic partnership further solidified Polat Enerji’s leadership position in the sector.
With our wind and solar power plants in Türkiye and Europe, as well as our battery storage and hybrid projects, we supply electricity to approximately 885,000 households annually, thereby preventing around 1.3 million tons of CO₂e emissions each year.
